ZIP Step 3: Final Review

After moderators review your draft, they prepare a ZIP analysis report. This ensures that the fundamentals of the proposal are clearly explained (e.g. costs, steps to implement, legal and ethical considerations, third-party review requirements, potential conflicts of interests). The ZIP Draft and analysis report are then shared with the DAO’s Foundation Board for a final review.

The Board may do one of three things:
• Send the ZIP on towards a DAO vote
• Return the draft to the author for minor clarifications
• Return the draft to the author for more substantive reconstruction to better demonstrate how the proposal aligns with the DAO’s mission/values/welfare.
